The Deer Lake Red Wings made it 4 straight wins Friday as they rallied to defeat the Corner Brook Royals 5-4 in a shoot-out at the Civic Center. The Red Wings were down 4-2 with less than 4 minutes to play, but got late goals from Drew Langdon and Luke Parsons to send the contest to overtime. The 5 minute overtime decided nothing, sending the teams to a shootout. The Red Wings outscored the Royals 3 goals to 1 in the shootout.
Parsons had 2 goals to pace the winners, with singles coming from Langdon and Lucas McKay.
Matt Colbourne, Will Keating, Josh Taylor and Scott Delaney had the Royals' goals.
Red Wings' goalie Billy Clarke and the Royals' Bradley power provided outstanding netminders for their respective teams.
The contest was played before a large crowd at the Civic Center, with everyone getting their money worth. There was exciting hard-hitting action all night
